Memory songs

Do you have any songs that remind you of things from the past? I have a couple that when I hear them, bring back times from way back>>I am becoming a sentimental old fart :)

Sweet Child O' Mine
She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long I'd probably break down and cry

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunderAnd the rainTo quietly pass me by

Tired

I am tired...any body else just plain tired. Cell phones, Blackberries, emails, instant messeges, texting,,,blah blah blah.

Everybody seems to want everything right now...my kids don't even know what a typewriter is.

Here I am just participating along.....although I regularly wonder if my blackberry would make a good skipping stone out on the water.
What the heck is it with the folks who drive along with an animal, such as dog, on their lap. I was out with one of my salesmen today and had the chance to be in the passenger seat. I never noticed quite so many people doing this obviously unsafe activity. Traveling down the highway at 60 plus just waiting for the pooch to make the wrong move.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the news over the past few days has been some interesting criminal activity that has been met with victim justce.
a. The 63 year old who attempted to rape a 17 yr old, he had on nothing but gloves, a mask and was carrying some rope. He broke into the house at night and attacked the young woman. Her screams woke up dad who proceeded to subdue the attacker and ultimately held the man until police arrived. Dad had the attacker around the neck...poor attacker had bad heart and soon died. No charges were issued against the dad.......YEAH

b. The elderly women who was attacked in her own home by a knife yeilding criminal. Must have been a tough old lady as she wrestled the knife away after hitting the attacker with a short pipe. She then held the man until police came as a result from her 911 call. The following was also heard on the 911 call that was taped. The attacker pleading for the old lady not to stab him anymore. She told the attacker to shut up before she removed part of his manly anatomy. She used his knife to show him how a vasectemy may feel with no pain killers. No charges were issued against the eldery women......YEAH

I missed my famaily re-union this year, bummer. Had to be in Philladelphia the week before and couldn't make the event. There are a few special people I always like to spend a bit of time with.

Maybe around Christmas I and Nan may get the chance for a visit.

Mind loss..or just plain nuts

I now notice Ice Cream containers have gotten a lot smaller....but not the price

The local news only channel has "Traffic and Weather together every 10 minutes" I find it ironic that these are two things we have not much control over while creeping along on the freeway.

Never eat chocolate while driving, unless you are willing to ignore the dark spot melted into you pants.

If a turtle loses it's shell, is it naked or homeless?
